IDAK 3.0 launches 2nd Decennial celebrations with a bang

. . . baton swaps, talent shocks, and family fun frenzy

The Indian Dentists Alliance in Kuwait (IDAK) commenced its third decade with the formal launch of IDAK 3.0 and the inauguration of its 2nd Decennial Celebrations at Mubarakia Villa, Sulaibiya on November 28, 2025.

The day-long event, with support from several sponsors combined the Sports Finals, Family Picnic, and IDAK Got Talent into a single large-scale gathering of members and their families.

The evening program featured a felicitation ceremony recognizing all eight past Councils of IDAK. A symbolic baton handover followed, involving former presidents Dr. John Joy, Dr. Roy Francis, Dr. Shaheer Malik, Dr. Rajesh Alexander, and Dr. Thomas Thomas, alongside the current leadership under President Dr George P Alex and incoming President Dr. Shalin Anna Simon, marking the official opening of the year-long celebrations.

A commemorative cake-cutting led by First Lady Dr. Aysha John and former First Ladies further underscored the contribution of families to IDAK’s growth.

The day began with the concluding round of the IDAK KDD Sports Championship 2024–25, coordinated by the Sports Committee under Dr. Eldho George.

The two-year multi-sport contest involving the Green Dragons, Red Raptors, and Blue Phoenixes culminated in a dramatic finish, with the Blue Phoenixes overcoming a deficit to secure the championship title. The Green Dragons placed second, while the Red Raptors finished third.

The finals featured a mini-marathon, track and field events, tug of war, dodgeball, swimming, and other competitions, drawing strong participation and creating a lively, competitive atmosphere throughout the venue.

Parallel to the sports events, the IDAK Family Picnic offered a range of recreational activities including a Treasure Hunt, Magic Show, Clown Performances, Inflatables, and children’s games. Attendees were served breakfast, lunch, live grills, and a gala dinner, contributing to a festive community environment.

The program concluded with IDAK Got Talent, organized by the Cultural Committee under Dr. Aysha John, featuring performances in music, dance, singing, martial arts, percussion, and more. Members, spouses, and children participated, adding a strong cultural dimension to the day’s proceedings.

In a closing note, General Secretary Dr. Jijan Sam Thomas and Vice President Dr Roshila George expressed appreciation to the Executive Committee and volunteers for ensuring smooth coordination and commended the strong turnout from the IDAK community. The IDAK 3.0 Triple Treat event served as a fitting start to the organization’s third decade, highlighting its commitment to unity, service, and community engagement
