Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, Friday issued a strong warning on the dangers of targeting nuclear facilities, urging all parties to exercise maximum restraint amid ongoing Israeli strikes on Iran.
“An armed attack on nuclear facilities should never be launched, as it could lead to radioactive releases with serious consequences both within and beyond the borders of the attacked state,” Grossi told the UN Security Council.
“Therefore, I reiterate my call for maximum restraint,” he said according to Al-Rai daily.
