‘Human Rights Bureau’ showcases photos and quotes of global humanitarian leaders

The Public Relations and Media Department of the National Human Rights Bureau, released a series of posters featuring images and quotes from influential heads of state and civil leaders; who have significantly impacted human rights and international humanitarian law in the world.

The project, proposed by the Complaints and Grievances Committee at the Court, was executed by committee member Muzaffar Rashid, who wrote the content and, visual artist Huda Karimi, a committee member, who designed the posters.

The project featured 14 prominent global figures in human rights and humanitarian work that include:

  • Mahatma Gandhi
  • Mother Teresa
  • Nelson Mandela
  • Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem
  • Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad
  • Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad
  • Martin Luther King
  • Kwame Nkrumah
  • Charles Malik
  • Carla de Ponte
  • Alija Izetbegovic
  • Dr. Sherif Bassiouni
  • Sheikh Yousef bin Issa
  • Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sumait

The project aims to highlight the most prominent individuals who have played a pivotal role in strengthening humanitarian work, establishing human rights, and advocating for them.
