The Kuwait Municipality has received responses from government agencies, including the roads authority, Ministry of Transport, and Public-Private Partnership Projects Authority, regarding a proposal from 12 members of the Municipal Council. The proposal seeks to allocate land for a housing project south of the 6.5 ring road and the West Abdullah Al-Mubarak area.
The municipality indicated that it had contacted the roads authority, which stated that it was impossible to approve the transfer of the railway station included in the proposal due to delays in the tender process. However, regarding the metro station, the authority clarified that it falls outside their jurisdiction.
The municipality also mentioned reaching out to the Public-Private Partnership Projects Authority, which responded that they couldn’t comment on the possibility of transferring the metro station mentioned in the proposal due to lack of jurisdiction.
