Hot, dusty weather with strong winds expected Tuesday, Wednesday

Director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, forecast that Tuesday and Wednesday (June 3 and 4) Kuwait will be affected by a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a hot and dry air mass.

The system is expected to bring active to strong northwesterly winds, which will stir up dust and significantly reduce horizontal visibility in some areas, potentially to below 1,000 meters.

Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Ali noted that weather models indicate the presence of fast, dust-raising winds ranging from 20 to 65 kilometers per hour during the daytime.

These conditions will result in hot and dusty weather, with expected maximum temperatures between 39 and 42 degrees Celsius.

Nighttime conditions are also expected to remain hot to very warm, with moderate to brisk northwesterly winds at speeds of 20 to 50 kilometers per hour. Sea waves are forecasted to reach heights of 3 to 7 feet, while minimum temperatures will range between 27 and 31 degrees Celsius.
