His Highness the Amir urges wise choice in electing representatives

In a heartfelt address marking the final 10 days of Ramadan, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah conveyed blessings and guidance to the citizens of Kuwait. Embracing the spirit of the holy month, he emphasized the importance of spiritual devotion and communal unity.
Addressing the electorate directly, His Highness stated the significance of the upcoming National Assembly elections, urging citizens to exercise discernment in selecting their representatives. He cautioned against favoring self-serving interests over the welfare of the nation, stressing the pivotal role of elected officials in shaping the country’s future.
His Highness implored candidates to uphold integrity and civility in their campaigns, eschewing divisive tactics and focusing on constructive dialogue. He expressed optimism for a parliament characterized by enlightened leadership and a commitment to national duty.
He called for members of the National Assembly to benefit from the lessons and experiences of previous parliamentary sessions and to uphold their national responsibilities. He added, “We look forward to the participation of our dear citizens in the elections. Those who boycott it are forfeiting their constitutional right and have not fulfilled the trust of choice. They do not have the right after that to blame anyone for the low outputs or for poor performance and lack of achievement.”
His Highness stressed “on everyone not to pay attention to the advocates of division and sedition and to be one line to protect Kuwait and its people.”
In another statement, His Highness the Amir, stated that tampering with Kuwaiti nationality cannot be ignored. He praised “all efforts and procedures aimed at preserving the national identity and we support them.”
His Highness said, “It has become clear to everyone the extent of the serious damage that has befallen the national identity through tampering with Kuwaiti nationality. Given that national identity represents the survival, existence, and issue of governance and destiny of the country, then attacking it is an attack on the entity of the state and its fundamental elements.”
His Highness the Amir added that he hopes that citizens will open a new page and stay away from all wrong practices that threaten national unity, pointing out that “your correct choice is your path to building the future of your country and your generations.”
His Highness concluded his words, invoking divine guidance and blessings upon Kuwait and its people, extending prayers for peace and prosperity.
