His Highness the Amir graces operetta and reaffirms the path towards progress and prosperity

Under the patronage and presence of His Highness the Amir of the country, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him, the national operetta concert “The Story of a Homeland” was performed this morning at the Bayan Palace Theater. The concert was attended by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Sabah Al-Salem, Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, President of the Court of Cassation, Counselor Dr. Adel Majid Buresli and senior state officials.

The evening began with the national anthem, after which the national operetta “The Story of a Homeland” unfolded, where groups of students from different educational levels from the Ministry of Education’s schools displayed various works of art about the history of the State of Kuwait, its origins, and the connect of its people, united by love of the homeland, belonging, and loyalty to its land.

At the ceremony to honor those present, a souvenir was presented to His Highness. His Highness gave letters of thanks to the Minister of Information and Culture, Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Celebrating National Holidays and Events, Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, and to the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, and Head of the Voluntary Work Center and Secretary of the Permanent Committee for Celebrating National Holidays and Events, Sheikha Mathal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in which His Highness expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for the efforts made in preparing and coordinating the operetta.

His Highness had words of praise for the high artistic standard that distinguished this operetta, embodying the meaning of love, loyalty and devotion to the dear homeland, and the distinguished performance of the students who participated in presenting it to their best. His Highness asked God Almighty to preserve the dear homeland, perpetuate the blessing of security and prosperity, and grant everyone success on the path to progress and prosperity.

Minister Al-Mutairi expressed his happiness, and the members of the committee and the national operetta team of “The Story of a Homeland,” honored His Highness the Amir, and thanked him for his presence of the operetta as part of the country’s national day celebrations.

Minister Al-Mutairi told KUNA that the honor and presence of the political leadership of this national action, represented by His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Prime Minister, and senior sheikhs and state officials, is a sign that confirms the love and national values deeply rooted in our conscience.

He pointed out that the “Story of a Homeland” operetta embodied the concepts of national unity, cohesion and love between the leadership and the people in the fragrant history of this homeland, and the sincere efforts and great sacrifices made by its people that remain forever, for us to emulate and carry to future generations.

He appreciated the sincere efforts made by the Ministry of Education, led by the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, all sectors of the ministry, and all the students participating in the operetta.

He expressed his sincere thanks for the efforts of colleagues in the Permanent Committee for Celebrating National Holidays and Events, led by the General Coordinator of the Committee, Sheikha Mathal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the representatives of all participating teams, their efforts in following up on the stages of preparation and training, leading to the excellent final presentation of this operetta.

Minister Al-Mutairi also praised the sincere work of the national cadres in the Ministry of Information and the company executing the national operetta “The Story of a Homeland,” which represents the successful partnership of creativity and technology between the public and private sectors.
