The Acting Director of the Meteorological Department, Darrar Al-Ali, forecast that Kuwait will experience scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, of light to moderate intensity on Monday and Tuesday.
Rainfall is expected to intensify, becoming heavy in some areas from Wednesday evening until Thursday morning, reports Al-Rai daily.
Al-Ali explained that weather maps and numerical models show the country being influenced by a deepening surface low-pressure system, combined with an upper-level atmospheric low and a warm, humid air mass.
These conditions are leading to the formation of increasing low and medium clouds, along with cumulonimbus clouds, which raise the likelihood of scattered and occasionally thundery rainfall.
He noted that rainfall on Wednesday evening may reduce horizontal visibility, and fog may form in some regions during the late evening and early morning hours of Thursday.
Winds are expected to be southeasterly to variable, light to moderate, becoming active at times and accompanied by dust. Rainfall is projected to continue at scattered intervals until next Saturday.
Al-Ali urged citizens and residents to follow the latest weather updates through the Department’s official website, mobile application, and social media channels.
