Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi has inaugurated the new Nuwaiseeb Medical Center, representing a major step forward in healthcare services at Kuwait’s land ports.
This pioneering center integrates primary care, emergency services, drug control, and public health under one roof, a first of its kind in the country.
The initiative is part of a comprehensive system managed by the Public Health Department, which oversees 13 specialized centers across all land, sea, and air borders, including facilities at Abdali, Salmi, Shuwaikh, Shuaiba, and Kuwait International Airport terminals (T1–T5).
These centers serve as frontline defense for national health security, offering emergency response, infectious disease monitoring, and coordination with international bodies on health certifications for ships and carriers.
The Nuwaiseeb center reflects the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure, expanding services, and raising healthcare standards, while also projecting a modern, responsive health system that safeguards both citizens and travelers.
