Hawalli Municipal Committee to review property and infrastructure proposals

The Hawalli Governorate Committee of the Municipal Council, chaired by Nasser Al-Jadaan, is set to meet on Wednesday to examine several key regulatory and development matters in Salmiya and Hawalli.

The committee will review the request of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy to allocate a site for a secondary transformer station in Salmiya, Block 4, Station No. 1.

The committee will also consider a proposal by a real estate company on the issue of the use of properties on Al-Othman Street, Hawally, Block 185, Plots 19, 20, and 21, to commercial purposes, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Other items on the agenda include a request to amend the Municipal Council’s decision regarding a multi-story parking project adjacent to the Symphony Complex in Block 71, Salmiya, and a request by the Ministry of Social Affairs to approve external projections at the entrance of the central market of the Rawda and Hawally Cooperative Society (Block 2), ensuring they are not used for commercial purposes.

The committee will also review plans to define the boundaries of the central market building according to the current situation and to amend the plan to expand the market to a total area of 4,420 square meters.
