According to a security source, several cases in HawalliGovernorate followed a similar pattern. The scheme involved an Instagram advertisement from a person offering domestic labor. After communicating with the victims and sending them photos of workers, the suspect would collect payments of up to 500 dinars but then stop responding to their calls.
The source added that after the cases were reported, investigations led to the arrest of the suspect. His residence was identified, and he was found to be a repeat offender.
During questioning, he confessed to the fraud, stating he had created an Instagram account and committed more than twelve similar incidents across several governorates. When asked about the money obtained through the fraud, he admitted to having spent it.
