Gulf meetings to shape Egyptian-Palestinian plan with global support
Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya stated that Kuwait is working to secure international support for transforming the Egyptian-Palestinian plan into an Arab-international initiative, with all doors open for amendments or proposals.

• Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya said the filling of vacant positions within the ministry, exceeding twenty, will be announced soon, with hopes it will happen before Eid al-Fitr.
Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya expressed his pleasure with the frequent meetings of the diplomatic community during the holy month of Ramadan, highlighting their continued nature. He also appreciated the presence of ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the country, Al Rai newspaper reported.
In a press statement during the Diwan reception of well-wishers for the holy month of Ramadan, Al-Yahya responded to a question about US President Donald Trump’s announcement of his visit to Saudi Arabia and the region, and whether the meeting would be expanded to include Gulf states. “We have no details, and as soon as we receive any new information, it will be announced,” he said.
Regarding the administrative and diplomatic rotation and the filling of vacant positions within the ministry, he said, “This will be announced very soon,” explaining that the number will exceed twenty positions, and he hoped this would happen before the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
When asked about Kuwait’s response to an invitation from Baghdad to participate in the Arab Summit scheduled for mid-May in Baghdad, he confirmed, “Yes, we will attend.”
Regarding the regular Gulf meetings next April, he said, “Such regular meetings, including the Gulf finance ministers’ meeting and their donor meeting in the Arab Republic of Egypt, are intended to transform the Egyptian-Palestinian plan into an Arab-international plan. We are seeking to gain international support for this plan.” He added that all doors are open to making amendments or proposals.
