GTD records 64 violations, impound 49 vehicles on King Fahd Road

A traffic campaign conducted by Kuwait’s General Directorate of Traffic on King Fahd Road last Friday resulted in 64 traffic violations, with 49 vehicles impounded.

The campaign also led to one person being referred to a detention facility and a minor being referred to the Juvenile Prosecution.

The operation was supervised by Brigadier Ahmed Fahd Al-Azmi, Head of the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector, and directly led by Director General of Traffic Brigadier Rashid Hamoud Al-Hajri and Assistant Director General for Traffic Regulation Affairs Colonel Ayoub Ghazi Fathallah.

The Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector said the campaign was part of ongoing field efforts to strengthen traffic discipline and enforce traffic laws.

Authorities stressed that such campaigns target violations that endanger road users and aim to curb dangerous driving behavior while improving compliance with traffic regulations.
