Greece congratulates Kuwait on the occasion of National & Liberation days

On behalf of the Greek Government, allow me to extend my heartfelt and warmest congratulations to his Highness the Amir, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to his Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, to the Kuwaiti Government as well as to the wonderful people of Kuwait, on the occasion of the celebration of the 63rd anniversary of National Day and the 33rd anniversary of Liberation Day. Greece and Kuwait are linked with historical relations which have developed into a solid partnership in various domains. I am particularly pleased to notify that this year 2024, our two nations celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations, a benchmark that encourage us to move forward our relationship with the scope to explore broader horizons. I am a particularly proud that numerous Kuwaitis have been visiting Greece throughout the year and get acquainted not only with the beauty of Greece but also with the culture of our country.

I am confident that through intensified efforts and dedication, the enduring friendly relations, both on bilateral and multilateral level, between our nations will continue to prosper in the years.

Based on the common values Greece and Kuwait share, that is the respect of international law, the adhesion to democratic principles, the support to economic development, I am persuaded that our two nations may play cardinal role towards promoting regional and global peace, notions that have become more imperative than ever.
