‘Govt committed to advancing major development projects, strengthening strategic partnerships’
His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah reaffirmed the government’s determination to continue implementing major development projects in line with the goals of Kuwait’s comprehensive development vision, under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Chairing the 32nd meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Monitoring Major Development Projects, His Highness emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum in the execution of strategic national projects and ensuring that they progress as planned.
Sheikh Ahmad underscored Kuwait’s commitment to expanding cooperation with nations that share strategic partnerships with the country, particularly the People’s Republic of China, to promote development and investment opportunities. He noted that these partnerships open broader horizons for economic, commercial, and industrial integration, in line with Kuwait’s long-term development goals.
The Prime Minister highlighted the upcoming visit of the Vice President of China and his accompanying delegation to Kuwait early next month, during which high-level talks and consultations will be held with the Kuwaiti leadership.
The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening the historic and strategic relations between the two countries, as well as on accelerating the implementation of joint agreements and memoranda of understanding related to major development projects.
His Highness directed members of the Ministerial Committee to continue supporting national efforts to diversify the economic base and develop promising sectors through close coordination with government entities and private companies.
He stressed that the success of current and future development projects depends on effective collaboration and timely execution to ensure their intended contribution to Kuwait’s economic growth.
In a related context, the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) expressed appreciation for His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah’s continued support for the Foundation’s mission and staff.
During a friendly gathering at the Scientific Center, held under his patronage and attendance, the Foundation praised His Highness for his encouragement of national scientific talents and his commitment to enhancing communication with the Foundation’s employees and affiliated centers.
The event also reviewed KFAS’s institutional development efforts and its strategy for 2025–2029, launched under the slogan “A Solid Legacy… An Innovative Future.”
