Governor vows to boost tourism with integrated entertainment projects

Badr Al-Sabah emphasizes importance of creating recreational spaces that enhance the quality of life

Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governor, Sheikh Sabah Badr Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, reiterated his dedication to advancing Kuwait’s tourism sector by executing integrated, high-quality entertainment projects that cater to the ambitions of both citizens and residents.

Speaking during an inspection tour of the Messila Beach (Blaj 2) project, Sheikh Sabah Badr Al-Sabah emphasized the importance of creating recreational spaces that enhance the quality of life and position Kuwait as a competitive player in the regional tourism scene.

He described the Messila Beach project as a modern and pioneering recreational destination, offering a distinguished entertainment experience that combines comfort, diversity, and broad appeal.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the governor noted that this project aligns with Kuwait’s broader strategy to provide meaningful recreational outlets that contribute to community well-being and economic vitality.

He also highlighted the ongoing cooperation with the private sector, which plays a pivotal role in enhancing tourism infrastructure and elevating service standards across the country.

Accompanying the governor on the tour was Abdullah Al-Jaafar, CEO of the Tourism Enterprises Company, who outlined the project’s current status and future impact. Al-Jaafar confirmed that the site visit aimed to review the final stages of implementation and ensure quality control in every detail.

He emphasized that the Messila Beach (Blaj 2) project represents one of the most prominent family-friendly entertainment destinations in Kuwait. Spanning a total area of 70,000 square meters, the facility is designed to offer a comprehensive leisure experience.

Key components of the project include:

Swimming pools and water play zones

  • A multi-purpose events hall
  • Designated areas for restaurants and cafés
  • Commercial and service outlets
  • Parking facilities accommodating up to 350 vehicles

    Al-Jaafar reaffirmed the company’s commitment to developing similar projects that meet the growing demand for leisure options in Kuwait, in line with national development goals and community needs.
