Government discusses election voting mechanism
The Council of Ministers is set to convene for its scheduled next meeting Monday, where it will deliberate on the voting mechanism in elections and key strategies for improving citizens’ living conditions. The meeting will also entail a review of reports compiled by the Economic Committee, which has been recently concluded.
According to a government source, the Legal Committee within the Council of Ministers convened, Saturday, to address various matters and present their reports for consideration in the upcoming session, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The source disclosed that the committee deliberated on significant government projects slated for implementation in the near future. Additionally, discussions centered on adopting prominent election mechanisms, notably whether to implement voting with civil IDs or explore alternative methods.
