Gold prices fall amid US-Iran tensions

Gold prices fell on Monday, as oil prices rose amid renewed fighting between the United States and Iran, while pressure on the metal increased due to expectations of an interest rate hike by the US Federal Reserve.

Gold fell 0.5 percent in spot trading to $4,067.99 an ounce. US gold futures for August delivery lost 0.4 percent to $4,081.20.
