The General Authority for Minors’ Affairs has announced the disbursement of Eid al-Adha aid to 2,414 eligible minors under its care, spread across 803 families. According to Al Rai newspaper, the funds will be deposited directly into their bank accounts.

Hamad Al-Barjas, the director of the authority, stated that the authority’s policies are always in line with the needs of its minor children. This is achieved through various procedures, including the disbursement of salaries, entitlements, and assistance for those under care before the holidays.

He highlighted that the authority implements numerous social, humanitarian, living, residential, educational, recreational, and other programs to support families in need. These programs and the mechanisms for delivering them are continuously developed through digital transformation initiatives, including the authority’s website and the ‘Sahel’ government application.

On the other hand, Al-Barjas indicated that the authority began implementing a program of events during the summer vacation called “Summer for Our Children” after the end of the school year. It includes many activities and events, such as various recreational trips and educational workshops for the minors under its care.

The authority also continued to implement its ambitious project, “Bader Wiyana,” to train minor participants in many activities, skills, and useful tasks for their practical and daily lives. The project aims to invest their free time, develop their skills, and provide them with opportunities to discover their potential and abilities, take on responsibility, become self-reliant, and even work during the summer vacation period.

Al-Barjas attributed the authority’s commitment to continuously developing and diversifying its entertainment, educational, and operational programs to their significant importance in the lives of minors. These programs help shape their personalities, refine their life experiences, and prepare them to keep pace with contemporary developments and future challenges.

He extended his best congratulations and blessings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, and all employees of the authority and those under its care on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
