GCC Summit urged to shift from crisis response to rebuilding regional security system

Media experts say Bahrain Summit marks crucial turning point for unified Gulf strategy; economic and security integration now essential for a stable Gulf future

The Kingdom of Bahrain hosts the 46th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit in Manama today, a gathering that Gulf media figures describe as a strategic turning point for the region.

They believe the summit underscores Bahrain’s capability to navigate sensitive regional dynamics at a time of fast-moving geopolitical shifts—conditions that demand tighter Gulf coordination, unified security strategies, and deeper economic integration.

Media professionals covering the event say the summit comes at a moment that requires the GCC to move from crisis response to rebuilding a robust joint security architecture, in light of ongoing developments in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon and Sudan.

Alongside security, they highlight the urgency of enhancing economic and logistical cooperation and adapting to global transformations that continue to elevate the Gulf’s importance in both energy and regional stability.

Kuwait Media Coverage: Direct and Extensive
