Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Al-Budaiwi, strongly condemned and denounced the recent Israeli attacks targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing them as a blatant violation of international law and a breach of the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter.
In an official statement, Al-Budaiwi emphasized the GCC’s firm stance against such acts of aggression, warning that they threaten to destabilize the region and undermine global peace and security, reports Al-Rai daily.
He called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to act urgently and decisively to stop the escalation and prevent the situation from spiraling into a broader conflict.
He stressed the need for collective international responsibility to uphold peace, ensure justice, and safeguard the sovereignty of nations.
Al-Budaiwi concluded by reiterating the GCC’s commitment to promoting regional stability and its rejection of any actions that could lead to increased tensions or conflict.
