GCC remains united in face of regional and global challenges

Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, affirmed that the GCC’s firm and clear positions reflect its founding on unity, ongoing unity, and commitment to self-determination.

Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi said “the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs has always been, and continues to be, filled with high-level diplomatic figures, and Ambassador Nabeela Al-Mulla is one of the most prominent among them, having served Kuwait and elevated its international standing.”

Al-Budaiwi noted that Kuwaiti women have achieved remarkable accomplishments and were among the first in the Gulf, region, and Arab world to demonstrate distinction and leadership.

In response to a question about the GCC’s ability to adopt a unified stance on regional issues, Al-Budaiwi said, The GCC is united, and its positions are firm, clear, and unwavering. The official statements regularly issued by the Ministerial Council and the Supreme Council of GCC leaders reflect this unity, reaffirming that the council was founded on unity, operates through unity, and remains committed to maintaining unified positions, ranks, and self-determination.

He stressed that the current regional and international circumstances require GCC states to continue consultations and joint coordination to formulate clear and unequivocal positions that reflect their stance.

Nabeela Al-Mulla praised for her distinguished diplomatic career

Regarding the event, Al-Budaiwi expressed his pleasure at participating in the launch ceremony of Ambassador Nabeela Al-Mulla’s book, praising her distinguished diplomatic career.

He said, The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs has always been, and continues to be, filled with high-level diplomatic figures, and Ambassador Nabeela Al-Mulla is one of the most prominent among them, having served Kuwait and elevated its international standing.

He recalled his personal experience working alongside her at the Kuwaiti Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Vienna, emphasizing that she was a beacon for all employees and remains so today.

He added that Kuwaiti women, in general, have achieved many accomplishments and have taken clear and decisive stances. He noted they are among the first women in the Gulf, the region, and the Arab world to have demonstrated such distinction, uniqueness, and outstanding contributions.
