GCC land forces chiefs meet in Kuwait, strengthens joint military integration

The commanders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) land forces convened their 23rd meeting in Kuwait today, with participation from the GCC General Secretariat and the Unified Military Command.

According to a statement by the Kuwaiti Army’s General Staff, the meeting — chaired by Brigadier General Hamad Al-Suwaidi, Commander of Kuwait’s Land Forces — focused on enhancing joint military cooperation and coordination among the land forces of the GCC states, reports Al-Rai daily.

Discussions centered on strategies to develop collective military capabilities and reinforce integration in joint defense efforts, in line with regional security goals. The gathering also explored mechanisms to unify efforts to face emerging threats and adapt to evolving security challenges.

The initiative aligns with the broader regional vision to build a unified and modern defense system under the framework of the “New Kuwait 2035” development strategy.
