GCC Chiefs of Staff convene in Kuwait to bolster joint military cooperation

Kuwait hosted the 11th consultative meeting of the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, in the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General for Military Affairs at the GCC General Secretariat, the Commander of the Unified Military Command, and a number of senior military leaders and officers.

The Kuwaiti Army said in a statement on Wednesday that the meeting was chaired by Deputy Chief of Staff, Major-General Pilot Sabah Al-Jaber, who welcomed the attendees to their “second home, Kuwait,” and conveyed the greetings of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Sabah, commending their continuous efforts to strengthen joint Gulf military cooperation, reports Al-Rai daily.

Major-General Al-Jaber emphasized that the meeting builds on the ongoing progress in defense integration among the GCC countries and reflects the commitment of the military leadership to deepen unity and coordination amid regional and global challenges.

The chiefs of staff discussed several key agenda items, including the enhancement of joint defense capabilities, coordination of operational and training strategies, and development of combat readiness — all in line with the vision of the GCC leaders to establish a unified and resilient defense system that preserves the region’s security and stability.
