From the Himalayas to the Backwaters: Incredible India tourism campaign kicks off in Kuwait

India offers the thrill of white-water rafting in Rishikesh and wildlife encounters at Gir Forest National Park, the tranquil backwaters of Kerala and the opulence of the Maharajas’ Express, the campaign invites travelers to experience India in all its colors and contrasts.

Against the stunning backdrop of the Kuwait Towers, the Embassy of India in Kuwait on Monday launched the Incredible India Tourism Promotion Campaign, marking the first anniversary of the India–Kuwait Strategic Partnership and celebrating the deepening ties between the two friendly nations.

The campaign was inaugurated by the Ambassador of India to Kuwait, H.E. Mrs. Paramita Tripathi, alongside the CEO of Kuwait’s Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC), Anwar Abdullah Al-Hulaila, in the presence of representatives from the Kuwaiti and Indian media, travel agencies, tour operators and members of the Indian community.

As part of the month-long initiative, the Indian envoy and the TEC CEO flagged off 20 branded buses that will travel across Kuwait, transforming city streets into moving windows showcasing India’s breathtaking diversity.

From the thrill of white-water rafting in Rishikesh and wildlife encounters at Gir Forest National Park, to the tranquil backwaters of Kerala and the opulence of the Maharajas’ Express, the campaign invites travelers to experience India in all its colors and contrasts.

The buses also feature iconic landscapes and heritage treasures, including the tea gardens of Munnar, the dramatic Nubra Valley in Ladakh, snow-capped Gulmarg in Kashmir, and architectural gems such as Charminar, Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal—each destination reflecting a different chapter of India’s rich cultural story.

To mark the occasion, Ambassador Tripathi planted a neem sapling at the Kuwait Towers as part of the global “Plant for Mother (Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam)” initiative, symbolizing sustainability, shared responsibility and a greener future—values that resonate deeply with both nations.

India continues to emerge as one of the world’s most sought-after travel destinations, welcoming millions of international visitors each year. With its sweeping Himalayan ranges, golden deserts, pristine islands, lush forests, wildlife safaris and ancient heritage sites—including 44 UNESCO World Heritage Sites—India offers an experience for every kind of traveler.

Backed by significant investment in tourism infrastructure, improved connectivity, curated travel circuits and the introduction of e-visa facilities for Kuwaiti citizens, India is making travel easier, smoother and more rewarding than ever before.

The Incredible India bus campaign reflects the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to inspire Kuwaiti travelers ahead of the upcoming holiday season and to position India as a destination where adventure, wellness, culture and luxury meet.

As part of the campaign, the public is invited to participate in a lucky draw by photographing the Incredible India buses and sharing the images on social media using the hashtag #IncredibleIndia, tagging the Embassy of India in Kuwait—turning every journey into a chance to win and every street into an invitation to explore.
