From London to Kuwait, narcotics smuggler fails in his mission
No attempt to hide contraband — no matter how extreme — will go unnoticed.

In a daring smuggling attempt straight out of a crime thriller, Kuwait Customs investigators successfully intercepted a passenger attempting to sneak hashish into the country — hidden in the most unlikely place: inside his own body.
The Customs Investigation and Search Department, working closely with Kuwait Airport Customs, acted on intelligence indicating that a European traveler arriving from London’s Heathrow Airport was attempting to smuggle drugs into the country in the most unusual manner to evade detection.
From the moment the man stepped into the customs hall, he was placed under tight surveillance and a thorough search yielded 412 grams of hashish.
Following arrest, he was referred to the Farwaniya Hospital and an X-Ray showed more drugs in his stomach.
With the help of medical procedures, the authorities extracted an additional amount — 312 grams of hashish.
The operation highlights to what extent drugs traffickers are willing to go the extra mile while the vigilance of Kuwaiti customs equally rise up to the challenge to keep illegal drugs off the streets.
With this interception, authorities sent a clear message: no attempt to hide contraband — no matter how extreme — will go unnoticed.
