From letters to legislation: Public sector invited to shape Kuwait’s postal future
Goal is to create a more responsive, investor-friendly, and innovation-driven postal system

The Ministry of Communications has launched a two-week public consultation campaign on a draft resolution to regulate postal activity licenses in Kuwait.
The initiative, which began on Wednesday, is designed to involve stakeholders — including citizens, residents, investors, and professionals — in shaping a modern regulatory framework to enhance the efficiency and quality of postal services.
In a press release, the Ministry stated that the campaign is part of a broader effort to modernize postal legislation in line with best international practices. It aims to promote transparency, private sector engagement, and inclusive policy-making.
The draft regulation has been published on the Ministry’s official website. Feedback can be submitted through an online consultation form, accessible via a direct link or a QR code posted on the Ministry’s social media channels.
Acting Undersecretary Eng. Mishaal Al-Zaid emphasized that the campaign presents a genuine opportunity to build a competitive, inclusive, and tech-forward postal environment.
He urged all stakeholders to participate actively, noting that their feedback will help shape legislation tailored to the sector’s real-world needs.
Al-Zaid further stressed that the Ministry is steadily working to modernize the sector’s legal and regulatory infrastructure in line with technological advancements and market trends.
The goal is to create a more responsive, investor-friendly, and innovation-driven postal system aligned with Kuwait’s digital transformation strategy and economic development goals.
