From debut in 2007 to Jersey 2025 – Amin’s remarkable journey ends

Kuwait Cricket bids farewell to one of its longest-serving stalwarts, Mohammad Amin, who has officially announced his retirement from international cricket during the ongoing ICC CWC Challenge League A 2024-26 in Jersey.
Amin, who made his debut in 2007, has been a cornerstone of Kuwait’s cricketing journey for nearly two decades. A former captain of the national side, he was widely respected for his calm and composed presence both on and off the field. Known for his sensible batting approach and leadership qualities, he leaves behind a legacy built on consistency, discipline, and professionalism.
Over the course of his career, Amin represented Kuwait through different phases of its cricketing evolution—right from the pre-ICC ranking era to the time when Kuwait gained official recognition. He went on to feature in 11 T20Is and 14 List A matches, accumulating valuable runs in pressure situations. Most notably, he played a pivotal role in Kuwait’s historic campaign in Malaysia last year, where the team earned List A status—a landmark moment in the nation’s cricketing history.
His final appearance came against Kenya in Jersey, where, after his dismissal, Amin was given a heartfelt guard of honour by his teammates—a fitting tribute to his years of service and contribution to Kuwait Cricket.
On behalf of the Kuwait Cricket family, the Board extended its gratitude and best wishes to Amin:
> “Mohammad Amin’s journey with Kuwait Cricket has been inspirational. His leadership, dedication, and performances have played a major role in shaping the team’s identity. We wish him nothing but success in his future endeavours.”
With his retirement, Mohammad Amin leaves behind an indelible mark on Kuwait Cricket—his name forever etched in the history of the game as one of its most loyal and respected stalwart.
