France congratulates Kuwait on the occasion of National & Liberation days
On behalf of France and in my personal capacity, I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations to His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, to His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, as well as to the government and the people of Kuwait, on the occasion of the National and Liberation Days, celebrated on February 25 and 26.
France was one of the very first countries to recognize the State of Kuwait, just two months after its declaration of independence in 1961. Since then, the friendship between our two countries has never weakened. It has been demonstrated in the most decisive moments, during the war to defend Kuwait’s sovereignty, as well as in times of peace, through the development of our ties and our cooperation, in a spirit of respect, esteem, and mutual interest.
We are proud to join our Kuwaiti friends in celebrating the National Day and, on this occasion, to highlight the depth of the relations between France and Kuwait. This friendship is based on shared values, a commitment to peace, and the promotion of regional and international stability and security. On this special day, I extend my best wishes to the people of Kuwait. May Kuwait continue to prosper in peace and stability, and may the Kuwaiti people enjoy happiness, success, and achievement in all their future endeavors.
