The General Department for Combating Narcotics has arrested a four-member gang for trafficking imported alcohol and psychotropic substances nationwide, Al Rai newspaper reported.
The Ministry of Interior announced that after verifying the received information and obtaining legal permission from the Public Prosecution, the suspects—two citizens, a Saudi, and an Indian—were arrested. They were found in possession of 919 bottles of imported alcoholic beverages and 200 psychotropic tablets. It added that the accused and the seized items were referred to the Drugs and Alcohol Prosecution Office for legal action.
