Fortune teller fails to predict her own fate, lands in jail

Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested an unidentified Iraqi woman, residing in Kuwait, for practicing witchcraft and sorcery in exchange for money.

According to the ministry, the CID men received verified intelligence that the woman, identified only as I.K., had been deceiving individuals by claiming the ability to foresee the unknown and solve personal, family, and financial problems through rituals and sorcery. She reportedly exploited vulnerable individuals seeking solutions to their problems.

Following surveillance and verification of the information, the CID men obtained a search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution, set a trap for the woman and caught her red-handed in a suburb of Adan.

At the time of arrest, she was found in possession of items used in magic and deception, including talismans, handwritten papers, herbal oils, wrapped amulets, and locks.

The accused and the confiscated materials were referred to the competent authorities for legal action.
