Former MP Saleh Ashour acquitted in 151,000 dinars money laundering case
The Court of Appeal has upheld a lower court’s ruling acquitting former MP Saleh Ashour and a citizen of money laundering charges involving KD 151,000 linked to the Al-Thaqalayn Association.
The case originated from a complaint filed by the Ministry of Social Affairs, which accused Ashour and others of violating the donations law, reports Al-Rai daily.
The defendants consistently denied the allegations, affirming that all their financial and administrative practices were lawful and transparent.
