Former defense minister referred to Ministerial Court over secret expenses
The committee, led by Counselors Omar Al-Masoud, Saud Al-Sanea, and Ahmed Al-Muqalled, referred Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad and a former office manager over invoices for spending on watches and vehicles.

The Permanent Investigation Committee for the Trial of Ministers has decided to refer former Defense Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad to the Ministers’ Court regarding the secret expenses complaint filed by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, according to Arabic daily Al Qabas.
The committee, headed by Counselor Omar Al-Masoud, Counselor Saud Al-Sanea, and Counselor Ahmed Al-Muqalled, decided to refer Al-Fahad and another former ‘office manager’ after they submitted invoices for expenditures on watches and vehicles.
Meanwhile, the committee decided to dismiss another complaint against Al-Fahad, filed by the Financial Investigations Unit, alleging his interference in the elections through the disbursement of sums of money. The committee concluded that no evidence of the accusation was found and, therefore, decided to dismiss the complaint.
