Food safety violations uncovered in Al-Qurain markets area
Dr. Saud Al-Jalal, Director of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Inspection Department under the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, disclosed food safety violations during an inspection tour yesterday morning.
Four reports of violations concerning unfit foodstuffs for human consumption were issued, along with six pledges to rectify conditions. Additionally, a facility was closed, and 150 kilograms of foodstuffs were confiscated and to be destroyed. This happened during a tour of the Al-Qurain Markets area, reports Al-Anba daily.
Dr. Al-Jalal emphasized the importance of ongoing inspections to ensure compliance with health regulations and to encourage inspectors in their duties.
The inspection tour, conducted in the presence of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governor Mahmoud Bushahri, underscores the commitment to monitor and maintain standards in various sectors.
Governor Mahmoud Bushehri reiterated the governorate’s dedication to overseeing all aspects, including education, health, and agriculture. He affirmed support for the efforts of the General Authority for Food and Nutrition and emphasized his personal involvement in addressing issues raised during the inspection.
Observations related to cleanliness and other matters will be addressed by the Kuwait Municipality, reflecting the collaborative effort to uphold food safety standards in the region.
