Flights diverted from Kuwait International Airport due to dense fog

The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) announced that several inbound flights to Kuwait were diverted to airports in neighboring countries on Tuesday due to low visibility caused by heavy fog. The move was taken to ensure the safety of passengers and aircrews.
PACA spokesman Abdullah Al-Rajhi said that visibility at the airport dropped to less than 100 meters, making takeoff and landing unsafe.
“A number of incoming flights were diverted to nearby airports as a precautionary measure,” he explained.
Al-Rajhi added flight operations gradually resumed once weather conditions improved and visibility became clear.
“We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all travelers and airlines,” Al-Rajhi said. “These temporary measures are taken solely to ensure everyone’s safety and to maintain the smooth flow of air traffic once conditions return to normal.”
