Fire reduces two dhows to ashes at Doha Port
Four suffer injuries as six firefighting centers contain the blaze

A major fire broke out Thursday afternoon reducing to ashes two wooden dhows at Doha Port.
The dhows were reportedly loaded with animal fodder.
The incident prompted a swift and large-scale emergency response from the Kuwait Fire Force. According to fire sources, within minutes of the incident, six marine and land firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene to battle the blaze.
Teams from the Shuwaikh Marine Center, Al-Soor, Sulaibikhat, Madina, and Al-Tahrir Al-Ahmadi Land Center collaborated in the firefighting operation. Upon arrival, the firemen coordinated their efforts to control inferno and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby vessels and port infrastructure.
Despite the intensity of the blaze, firefighters contained and extinguished the fire after a strenuous operation.
Emergency medical services were also present at the scene, and treated four injured crew members from the affected dhows. The injuries were reportedly sustained during the fire, but initial reports confirm that the individuals were treated at the scene.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire, while fire safety inspections at the port are expected to be tightened in the aftermath of the incident.
