Finance Ministry spearheads intensive initiative to reprice government services

The Ministry of Finance is collaborating with government agencies to conduct “intensive” meetings aimed at implementing the initiative to reprice government public services as part of the public financial sustainability focus in the government’s 2024-2027 work program.

Informed sources reported to Al-Anbaa newspaper that clear mechanisms for the service pricing process will be developed during the meetings. The government will include a database of government “goods and services” for analysis, indicating their cost and impact.

The sources also indicated that the Ministry of Finance will explain its initiative to reprice government services, its goal, and the required data, such as the service’s name, definition, description, type and category, the number of annual transactions completed for it, and other relevant information.
