Final exams conclude for high school students; Results expected Wednesday

High school students are wrapping up their final exams for the 2024/2025 academic year, with science stream students completing chemistry today, and arts and religious education students sitting for statistics and Hadith tomorrow, marking the official end of the exam period.
Educational sources confirmed to Al-Jarida that the initial results are promising, with grades so far falling within expected ranges as outlined by the subject-specific technical directives.
According to the sources, correction has been completed for six subjects in the science section, six in the arts section, and eight in religious education.
Five subjects remain to be finalized — Chemistry for the science section, Environment and Statistics for the arts section and Ancient Logic and Hadith for religious education.
Officials anticipate that correction, review, and grades for these remaining subjects will be completed by late Tuesday, paving the way for the announcement of final results by Wednesday morning, June 25.
In a separate development, the Civil Service Council (CSC) has clarified attendance regulations following an inquiry from the Ministry of Education regarding fingerprint attendance times.
In a letter addressed to Acting Undersecretary of Education Mansour Al-Dhafiri, the CSC stated that immediate supervisors or their deputies may approve attendance forms for employees who clock in slightly before the official start time but are mistakenly marked as late.
However, the commission emphasized that it is the supervisor’s responsibility to ensure employees are present during official working hours, and repeated violations of fingerprint timing will be considered disciplinary offenses.
The CSC has urged the Ministry of Education to remind all employees to strictly adhere to attendance and departure times in accordance with civil service regulations.
