Fifth Ring Road intersections with Al-Ghazali, Muhammad bin Qasim set to open

The opening of an intersectional upper bridge with Al-Ghazali Road, spanning 120 meters in length, will provide seamless access to the entrances of the avenues

The General Authority for Roads and Land Transport, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, will open parts of the project at dawn on Friday to design roads, bridges, and other services between the Fifth Ring Road and the Al-Ghazali and Mohammed bin Al QasimRoads.

Engineer Khaled Dhawi, Director of the General Authority for Roads and Land Transport, announced the inauguration of two significant components within the project. This includes a 1500m long service road, boasting three traffic lanes parallel to the fifth ring road. Additionally, the opening of an intersectional upper bridge with Al-Ghazali Road, spanning 120 meters in length, will provide seamless access to the entrances of the avenues. Furthermore, a 320m long rambatbridge, equipped with two traffic lanes, will enhance connectivity within the network.

Dhawi elaborated that the unveiling of these sections will significantly alleviate traffic congestion around the Avenues complex. Moreover, it will streamline traffic flow in the vicinity of the irrigation area, enhancing overall service levels on Al-Ghazali Road and the Fifth Ring Road upon completion of the contract works.
