Thursday’s flight carried aid prepared by the Good Charity Association, part of a wider effort that has so far dispatched 15 planes, including four to Jordan and 11 to Egypt, totaling 300 tons of food supplies produced locally in coordination with the Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company.
The fifteenth Kuwaiti relief plane took off Thursday morning as part of the second humanitarian airlift under the “Kuwait by Your Side” campaign to support the Palestinian people. The aircraft, carrying forty tons of food supplies, was headed to El Arish Airport in Egypt before being transferred to the Gaza Strip, according to Al Rai newspaper.
The aid flights, departing from Abdullah Al-Mubarak Air Base, are organized under the “Fazza for Gaza” initiative led by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society in cooperation with local charitable organizations. The effort is coordinated with the Ministries of Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Defense, with the Kuwaiti Air Force facilitating the airlift.
Khaled Al-Mughamis, the Chairman of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), said ahead of Thursday’s relief flight that Kuwait’s support for the Gaza Strip, under the guidance of the country’s leadership, reflects a firm determination to mobilize official institutions and secure the second humanitarian airlift swiftly and in an organized manner.
Al-Mughamis stressed that the coordinated efforts of state bodies highlight Kuwait’s consistent commitment to just humanitarian causes and its role as a pioneer in providing aid during crises. Alongside government support, he noted that Kuwaiti charities and civil society have played a crucial role through wide-ranging initiatives that embody the spirit of national solidarity.
He added that the KRCS is working in close cooperation with the Egyptian Red Crescent and the Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo to ensure the safe delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip. The relief flights, he explained, are more than shipments of food—they represent a message of hope and solidarity from Kuwait to the Palestinian people.
