FDIK organises ‘Health and Beauty’ workshop for International Women’s Day
The program started with the opening ceremony hosted by the Indonesian Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Lena Maryana and FDIK Chairman Mr. Billman Marpaung.
In addition to the workshop, various competitions were held for the attendees to participate in including a traditional fashion show, make up and culinary experiences, karaoke contests and a cooking competition for men.
The event was attended by members of the Indonesian community in Kuwait, Ambassadors in Kuwait from ASEAN countries, the Ambassador of Kenya and Sierra Leone, IWG President, UN-Habitat and International guests.
Our guests were entertained with traditional dances, qasidah, poco poco and enjoyed delicious Indonesian cuisine.
in her opening address, H.E. the Ambassador for Republic Indonesia said that everyone should continue investing for women as women are the pilar of the country and women should be given more opportunity to shine in every aspect of life.
Meanwhile, The Chairman of Indonesia Diaspora in Kuwait requests to use this International Women’s Day as a call to action – a call to redouble our efforts in the fight for gender equality.
