Farwaniya police nab expat with $21,000 in counterfeit cash
The patrols arrested the expatriate during a search of his residence in the Jleeb area while he was attempting to sell counterfeit dollars.
Under the guidance of Undersecretary Hamad Al-Munifiand Security Director Brigadier General Saleh Oqla, Farwaniya security personnel successfully arrested an expatriate with $21,000 in counterfeit currency, according to Al Anba newspaper.
A security source said that patrols arrested the expatriate in the Farwaniya area while he was attempting to sell counterfeit dollars.
During a subsequent search of his residence in the Jleebarea, additional counterfeit money and tools used for forgery were seized. He is now being referred to counterfeiting investigations.
