Farwaniya Municipality removes 489 ‘obstacles’ in July cleanup drive

Campaigns carried out by the Cleaning and Road Occupancy Department of the Farwaniya Municipality throughout July led to the removal of 489 abandoned vehicles, boats, and scrap materials from both residential and investment zones. These items were transferred to the municipal impoundment yard.

Mohammed Al-Jabaa, Director of the Public Hygiene and Road Works Department, stated that the month-long efforts also resulted in the issuance of 516 citations, most of which were related to road obstructions and breaches of public cleanliness regulations, reports Al-Rai daily.

In addition, 288 warning stickers were posted on neglected vehicles, while 358 pledges were signed by violators not to repeat future infractions.
