FAIPS celebrates annual day with ‘Happily Ever After–Fairy Tales Re-imagined’ theme

The Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Private School (FAIPS) in Kuwait recently hosted its eagerly awaited Annual Day celebration for middle school, specifically for Class 5. The event was marked by great style, enthusiasm, and excitement.

The event, held on November 12, 2024, at FAIPS, centered on the captivating theme ‘Happily Ever After – Fairy Tales Re-imagined’. This theme offered a fresh, innovative take on classic fairy tales, enchanting guests and parents alike. It highlighted the power of creativity, teamwork, and the art of reinterpreting traditional stories in a modern context.

The occasion was a true testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering imaginative exploration. The celebrations began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, a symbolic gesture that marked the start of an inspiring and joyful morning.

The presence of esteemed dignitaries added great significance to the occasion. Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, the respected Principal, took the opportunity to address the Chief Guest, dignitaries, and parents, expressing his heartfelt appreciation for their support and involvement.

In his speech, the Principal emphasized the vital role parents play in nurturing their children’s academic success and instilling strong moral values. He stressed that a collaborative partnership between schools and parents is essential for cultivating excellence and responsible citizenship in students. This partnership, he noted, is key to shaping well-rounded individuals who are prepared for future achievements.

The Ambassador of South Africa to Kuwait, H. E. Dr. Manelisi Paulose Genge, graced the occasion as the esteemed Chief Guest for the day.

The Ambassador was joined by distinguished guests; Ms. Chaitali B. Roy, a renowned writer, journalist, and media personality, and Mr. Rahul J. Nair, Chief Lifologist and Co-founder of Lifology.

In his address, The Ambassador commended FAIPS, for its steadfast commitment to holistic education. He emphasized the vital role that cultural exchange and storytelling play in nurturing empathy, understanding, and global citizenship among young individuals.

The Ambassador encouraged the audience to recognize how storytelling not only shapes our perceptions but also connects diverse cultures, fostering a shared human experience that enriches our collective journey. The event itself was a vibrant showcase of performances, offering a refreshing and imaginative take on well-known fairy tales.

The students’ creativity shone as they reinterpreted classic tales like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Peter Pan, and Hansel and Gretel, each infused with contemporary themes of resilience, kindness, and courage.

The segment titled ‘Funky Fairy Tales’ added a lively and modern twist to these timeless narratives, energizing the audience with fresh interpretations. This was followed by a mesmerizing ballroom dance performance that brought an air of elegance to the evening.

A standout moment of the event was the ‘Arabian Nights’ performance, where students transported the audience into the enchanting realm of Arabian folklore through their graceful dances and captivating storytelling

The evening reached its climax with a vibrant Grand Finale, featuring all performers uniting in a spectacular display of energy and talent, which left the audience in awe.

Throughout the night, the students’ enthusiasm was palpable, and the audience remained thoroughly engaged by the diverse performances. Each act beautifully reflected the spirit of the theme.

The event concluded on a gracious note with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks from Ms. Deepa Elizabeth, the Headmistress. She thoughtfully acknowledged the contributions of the Chief Guest, esteemed dignitaries, parents, and all who participated in making the Annual Day a resounding success.

Ms. Elizabeth’s words celebrated the collective spirit of the school community and emphasized how their support and involvement laid a strong foundation for future events.
