Failaika Guardians put on a commanding display to defeat Kuwait Falcons by nine wickets in the opening match of the DP World ILT20 Development Tournament – Kuwait 2025. After winning the toss and choosing to bowl, the Guardians restricted the Falcons to 106/9 in twenty overs.
Clinto Anto’s fiery 42 off 27 balls stood out, but the rest of the Falcons’ batting lineup struggled against disciplined bowling. Meet Bhavsar (2/21) and Shahid Shameem (2/14) led the attack with precision.
Chasing the target, the Guardians reached 108/1 in just 11.2 overs. Nawaf Dadarkar provided a brisk start with 19 off 11, while Meet Bhavsar anchored the innings with an unbeaten 51 off 38 balls, supported by Usman Gani’s 28* off 19. Bhavsar’s all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award.
The victory gave Failaika Guardians a strong start to the tournament.
