Factory fire in Amghara Scrap Yard controlled, no injuries reported

Firefighters successfully brought under control a blaze that broke out in a factory at the Amghara scrap yard.

Brig. Gen. Mohammed Al-Gharib, Director of Public Relations and Media at the Kuwait Fire Force, said the fire spread rapidly due to the highly flammable materials stored in the factory, including lithium, producing black smoke visible from afar.

Seven fire stations were deployed to contain the blaze and prevent it from reaching nearby sites.

No injuries were reported, and the damage was limited to material losses, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Gharib urged factory and business owners to comply with safety regulations and maintain proper fire equipment to avoid legal accountability.
