Extreme heatwave to hit Kuwait, warns weather expert
Temperatures are expected to rise significantly in Kuwait over the coming days.
Weather expert Issa Ramadan has issued a stark warning about the impending heatwave.
Ramadan emphasized that this period marks the peak of the year’s most scorching weather. Kuwait, along with neighboring Gulf countries and Iraq, will experience the most intense heat and solar radiation during this time, reports Al-Qabas newspaper.
“The last week of July is typically when we record the highest temperatures,” Ramadan stated in a post on X. “The final days of the month will witness the climax of one of the year’s hottest periods.”
Given the extreme conditions, Ramadan urged the public to take necessary precautions. He stressed the importance of staying hydrated, avoiding strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day, and regularly checking the condition of vehicle tires and engines, as well as air conditioners at homes.
