EPA says air quality safe, no abnormal rise in pollutants detected

Officials reassure public that authorities maintain 24/7 monitoring to protect air quality and public health

The Environment Public Authority said it has activated its emergency plan to closely monitor developments around the clock via monitoring stations across all regions.

This includes continuous tracking of air pollutant levels for any abnormal increases to be reported immediately.

In a statement, the authority clarified that no unusual rise in air pollutant concentrations has been detected following recent events, reports Al-Rai daily.

It explained that ballistic missile interceptions occur at high altitudes, causing any byproducts to disperse without affecting air quality in populated areas.

However, the EPA has urged citizens and residents to rely solely on official sources for accurate information and assured that it will continue vigilant monitoring to safeguard public health and environmental safety across the country.
