EPA issues violation after dead animals found in licensed Al-Mangaf Beach pen

The Environment Public Authority announced that it has issued a violation to the holder of a licensed pen on Al-Mangaf beach after a number of dead animals were discovered inside the enclosure.

In a statement, the authority explained that a specialized team was dispatched to the site following a complaint.

Upon inspection, the team confirmed that the pen was licensed but that its owner had failed to comply with regulatory requirements governing pen operations, reports Al-Rai daily.

These regulations explicitly prohibit leaving wildlife inside the enclosure, a violation that led to the deaths of animals.

The authority stated that the penalty was issued in accordance with Article 100 of the Environmental Protection Law.

The statement added that the authority’s teams will coordinate with relevant bodies to ensure regular monitoring of licensed pens and to verify that owners adhere to all laws and executive regulations related to enclosure management.
