EPA cracks down on illegal camps in Ahmadi during joint inspection drive

The Environment Public Authority (EPA), in coordination with Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Interior, and the Kuwait Fire Force, carried out a joint inspection campaign in Al-Ahmadi Governorate targeting environmental violations and unlicensed desert camps.
According to the EPA, the campaign resulted in the issuance of six violations under Articles 40 and 41 of the Environmental Protection Law.
Several illegal camps were also removed after inspectors found they were set up in prohibited areas and operating without permits from Kuwait Municipality.
The authority emphasized that such campaigns aim to preserve Kuwait’s natural environment and ensure compliance with regulations governing camping activities.
It also called on desert visitors and camp owners to adhere to Environmental Protection Law No. 42 of 2014 and its amendments under Law No. 99 of 2015, as well as the executive regulations, to avoid legal action.
